Water Street Will Be Closed Next Week

Get ready for some traffic headaches in uptown Saint John for much of next week.

Demolition will begin on the former Coast Guard administration building on Tuesday.

Water Street will be closed to thru traffic between King and Princess streets from Tuesday until Friday.

On-street parking spaces along Water Street will not be available after 6 p.m. Monday.

Businesses in the area will still be open. Pedestrians will be able to use the eastern side of Water Street.

Crews have spent the past several days tearing down the old helicopter hangar building.
