Saint John boxer Charlie Cavanaugh won gold at the Canadian Boxing Championships in the 70 kilogram female division. She was selected as the best female junior boxer in the tournmament.
Forward Matthieu Joseph, the Sea Dogs’ second leading scorer will miss 2 to 3 months after suffering a serious cut to his calf muscle in last Friday’s game against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. The Sea Dogs face the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in Round 2 of the “Q” League playoffs beginning tomorrow night, 7:00 at Harbour Station.
