Filip Forsberg got three goals in Nashville’s 3-2 win over Toronto…..Detroit over Columbus in a shootout 2-1……The Rangers lose to New Jersey 5-2…..Los Angeles got by Calgary 2-1…..Ottawa downing Edmonton 4-1….Dallas winning over Winnipeg 5-3….Tampa Bay edged Arizona 2-1…..It was Carolina over Philadelphia 3-1 and the Islanders defeated Minnesota 4-1.

Free agent outfielder Derek Fowler, who played last season with the Chicago Cubs, has reportedly agreed to a three year deal with the Baltimore Orioles.

At the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, New Brunswick, represented by the Sylvie Robichaud rink of Curl Moncton, is 1 and 5 after losing 6-4 to Alberta and 9-6 to Team Canada, represented by the Jennifer Jones rink.
