Premier Brian Gallant has revealed he’s still recovering from a concussion he sustained more than two months ago when he took a tumble while practicing with the Saint John Sea Dogs at the Q-Plex. After taking the fall, the Premier says he has suffered from recurring headaches.

Robinson Cano of the Seattle Mariners hit a homer off Chicago Cubs reliever Wade Davis in the top of the 10th inning to give the American League a 2-1 win over the National League in the Major League All-Star game.

Leanne Richardson of the Country Meadows Golf Club near Moncton won the New Brunswick Amateur Women’s Golf Championship by two shots over Margo Dickinson of Hartland.

At Wimbledon, Canada’s Milos Raonic will take on third seed Roger Federer.

The Arizona Coyotes have hired Rick Tocchet as the team’s next head coach, replacing Dave Tippett. Tocchet has been an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Penguins since 2014. For five consecutive seasons the Coyotes have missed the playoffs.
