In Major Midget Hockey, the Moncton Flyers over the Saint John Vitos 2-1. The Vitos lead the 8 point series 4 to 2 with game 4 Friday night at the Q-Plex.

In the NHL, Florida beat Montreal 4-1. Defenseman P.K. Subban missed a second game with a neck injury and won’t travel to Buffalo for the game tonight…..Toronto upended Tampa Bay 4-1……San Jose got by Boston 3-2…..Philadelphia edged Detroit 4-3…..Alex Ovechkin scored the overtime winner in Washington’s 2-1 win over Carolina….Pittsburgh won a shootout over the Islanders 2-1…..Los Angeles downed Dallas 5-2…The Kings have won 9 of their past 11 and Ottawa took Minnesota in overtime 3-2.
