Saint John police say two people have been arrested after a weekend pursuit on the west side.
Police say officer began pursuing two vehicles that appeared to be racing on Main Street West onto Manawagonish Road just afrer 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
“The officer followed a Chevrolet Equinox that pulled behind a house on First Avenue,” police said in a news release.
The driver fled on foot while the two passengers were arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle, said teh releas.e
A 28-year-old woman was held on three outstanding warrants. A 30-year-old woman was later released with a future court date.
