Halloween is right around the corner, but will youngsters in New Brunswick be able to dress up and go door-to-door trick-or-treating during a pandemic?
Under the Local Governance Act, municipalities have jurisdiction surrounding Halloween-related curfews.
For example, the Town of Woodstock has already decided to cancel trick-or-treating this year.
A Department of Health spokesperson says public health officials are creating some recommendations for a safe Halloween during COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Prince Edward Island is allowing trick-or-treating this year with a few changes.
Officials say candy must be placed on tables and not handed out directly, you should stay in your own neighbourhood and crowding should be avoided.
