What’s On The Common Council Agenda?

Monday night’s meeting of Saint John Common Council promises to be a busy one.

Council is expected to receive a report about water issues on the west side.

Hundreds reported copper pipe leaks after the city switched the water source from Spruce Lake to the South Bay Wellfield in late 2017.

Dalhousie University and CBCL Engineering were asked to investigate what caused the leaks.

Council will also consider first and second reading of a bylaw to ban deer feeding in the city.

It would pave the way for the city to ask the province for a “nuisance deer management program,” which would be rolled out in the Millidgeville area first as a pilot.

The program would allow bow hunters to shoot one antlerless deer on approved private property.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Ludlow Room on the 8th floor of City Hall.
