What’s open and closed on Thanksgiving Monday

Monday is Thanksgiving, which means many workers will have the day off.

All federal, provincial and municipal government offices will be closed.

Banks and post offices will not be open, and Canada Post will not be delivering any mail.

Grocery stores, big-box stores, and malls will be closed, including McAllister Place.

If you are in need of a prescription, some drug stores will be open at reduced hours.

NB Liquor and Cannabis NB stores will be closed, but a number of agency liquor stores will be open.

Many other businesses will also be closed or have reduced operating hours, so it is best to call ahead.

Saint John Transit buses will not be running. Garbage and compost collection in the city will follow its regular schedule.
