Morning Glory, Atlantic Canada’s leading Oasis tribute, is gaining steady traction across the region as the band prepares to unveil details for a major Saint John performance on April 13. Formed in 2023 by New Brunswick songwriter Dillon Ryan, the project has quickly become a standout act in the East Coast tribute scene, driven by a sincere connection to the music rather than nostalgia alone.

For Dillon, Oasis was the band that first opened the door to songwriting. He grew up listening to their early albums thanks to an older brother’s CD collection, and those songs became part of his earliest musical memories. After spending his high‑school years surrounded by metal‑focused musicians, he eventually returned to Oasis and realized their melodic, confident songwriting was what truly resonated with him. That rediscovery shaped his path as an artist and inspired him to create Morning Glory as a way to honour the band that helped him find his voice.

Morning Glory delivers a high‑energy show that celebrates the full arc of Oasis’ original run, with a particular focus on the landmark albums Definitely Maybe and What’s the Story Morning Glory. The band approaches the material with genuine admiration, often joking onstage that they formed their tribute before the Gallagher brothers reunited, just to make it clear they were not following a trend. Last summer, several members travelled to Toronto to see Oasis live, a moment that reinforced the passion behind the project.
Outside of the tribute, Dillon continues to perform with his original band Dillon Ryan and The Dream Romantic, as well as the 80s New Wave tribute Just Like Heaven, which features music from The Cure, The Smiths, and Depeche Mode. His wide range of influences all trace back to the same roots: strong melodies, emotional clarity, and the power of a great song.
