Winter Has At Least One Storm Left

We may be shovelling 20 centimetres of snow from our driveways on Tuesday night.

A low pressure centre in Cape Hatteras will intensify as it tracks towards the Maritimes bringing snow and blowing snow.

Meterologist Barrie MacKinnon of Environment Canada tells us flakes will begin falling late Tuesday afternoon or evening and persist into Wednesday.

He says there is a possibility of switching over to rain for the southernmost sections of New Brunswick.

MacKinnon says the total amount of snow may change depending on the track of the storm.

Newfoundland and Labrador was battered by a nasty system bringing hurricane strength winds exceeding 180 kilometres an hour causing a lot of damage.
