They call it Blue Monday for a reason.
This week kicks off the most depressing time of the year.
It’s the coldest time of the year, the days are shorter, people are still recovering from financial strain during the Christmas season and a lot of people may be dropping the ball in terms of their new year resolutions.
That from Alberta Stanton-Rousselle, Co-Chair of Warm up to Winterfest.
She’s hoping the 6th annual Warm up to Winterfest being held at Market Square later this month will help ward off those winter blues.
The event will be held on January 29th from 1-4pm.
Stanton-Rousselle says the event will include a parade, a live band, dancing, a youth choir, various children’s activities, balloon animals, crafts, face painting and more.
