Woman arrested in stolen vehicle investigation

A 25-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation.

Saint John police said a vehicle was reported stolen in the Charlotte Street South area around 12:50 p.m. Thursday.

Less than 12 hours later, at around 12:15 a.m. Friday, a patrol officer saw the vehicle on Duke Street South.

“The officer checked the vehicle as it pulled into a driveway and arrested the 25-year-old driver for possession of stolen property,” police said in a news release.

The accused was later released from custody and will appear in court in February.
