Woman Charged After Fatal Crash Appears In Court

A Saint John woman charged following a fatal crash last summer has made another court appearance.

Anne-Marie Savoy is charged with public mischief, obstructing justice, and perjury.

Savoy was scheduled for election and plea in Saint John provincial court on Wednesday but the matter was set over until June 21.

The 44-year-old woman was arrested in late January along with fellow west side resident John Ford.

Ford is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, and public mischief.

The charges stem from a July 9, 2018, crash involving a motorcycle on Loch Lomond Road which claimed the life of 54-year-old Scott Robertson.
