One person has died after a head-on crash between a car and a one-ton truck in Welsford, north of Saint John.
Mounties said emergency crews were called to the scene along Route 7 at around 7:15 a.m. Friday.
Investigators believe the southbound car crossed the centre line and collided with the northbound truck.
A 37-year-old woman from Carters Point, who was driving the car, died at the scene from her injuries.
Police said the driver and passenger of the truck were taken to the hospital with what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are still piecing together the cause of the crash. An autopsy will be performed to determine the woman’s exact cause of death.
