Woman Faces Impaired Driving Charges In Car-Cruiser Collision

A 24-year-old Dieppe woman is expected to face charges in connection with a crash involving a police cruiser in Shediac.

Around 9 o’clock Wednesday night, RCMP responded to a complaint about a possible impaired driver.

A car attempting to turn onto Ohio Road from Main Street collided with a police cruiser entering the intersection.

Police say both drivers suffered minor injuries and were treated on scene by paramedics.

The driver of the car was arrested.

Breath samples showed the woman had a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit.

The woman was later released and is due to appear in Moncton provincial court on April 27.
