City firefighters responded to a fire in the top floor of a Victoria Street apartment Saturday night.
At approximately 10:40, fire trucks arrived at the three-story unit.
After extinguishing the fire, an unresponsive woman was found, and was safely removed from the scene.
The woman was taken for further medical treatment.
The incident remains under investigation by the Saint John Fire Department.
