Work on Confederation Bridge to begin May 1

If you have a trip across the Confederation Bridge planned in the near future, get ready for delays.

Work to complete a full deck resurfacing will get underway on May 1.

It’s the largest modernization work to be done since the Bridge opened in 1997.

Work will begin on the New Brunswick side and progress in 3.5-kilometre sections. Speed limits will be reduced, and travellers can expect delays of around 30 to 60 minutes, especially during peak travel times.

It is expected to be completed before the end of June, when the summer travel season begins.
