World Under 17 Exhibition Games Coming To Charlotte County

It’s going to be a big night for fans in the Charlotte County hockey world.

Aaron Kennedy with the Town of Quispamsis was at the Garcelon Civic Center in St. Stephen on behalf of Hockey Canada and Hockey NB.

He announced the Garcelon Civic Center will be the home of an exhibition game prior to the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.

The exhibition game will feature Team Canada Red vs Team USA on November 1st, at 7pm.

Kennedy tells us, “For those of you who aren’t familiar with the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, it’s an extremely important developmental tournament from a Hockey Canada perspective and from an international perspective as well. We thought St. Stephen was a logical place, obviously, to have a “border war”, not sure if I’m allowed to say that, with the great friendship that we have with our friends across the border in Calais.”

Blacks Harbour will also host an exhibition game at the same time between Sweden and Czech Republic.

The actual tournament will be played between Saint John and Quispamsis, which starts on November 3rd.

Tickets are $10 each and are on sale now at the Garcelon Civic Center.
