Youth Facing Charges After West Side Incident

On Saturday, September 25, 2021, at approximately 6:31 p.m., the Saint John Police Force received a call of a possible assault on the city’s west side.

When officers arrived it was found a victim was being chased and threatened by a group of teens.

As well, police say a youth was approached by officers, and it was discovered he was in possession of a weapon.

The youth is facing multiple charges including, assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

They have been released on an undertaking with conditions pending a court appearance on October 20, 2021.
