17-year-old boy dies in crash near Moncton

A 17-year-old boy died in a crash in Turtle Creek.

It happened at 1 a.m. Saturday on Nixon Road, according to Caledonia Region RCMP.

The vehicle left the road and struck a power pole.

The boy from Petitcodiac died at the scene, he was ejected from the vehicle.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, he was a passenger in the vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
