UPDATE: 52-Year-Old Pedestrian Dead After Rothesay-Area Crash

A 52-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle near Rothesay early Monday afternoon.

RCMP was called at around 1 p.m. on July 4 to a report of a seriously injured Summerville man who had been hit by a vehicle on Route 1 near Rothesay.

The pedestrian died at the scene from his injuries, according to police.

“The Kennebecasis Valley Police Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department assisted with responding to the incident,” said Hampton RCMP in a news release.

“An RCMP collision reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s office are assisting with the ongoing investigation.”
