70 year-old arrested in N.B. homicide investigation

A man is in custody and police in New Brunswick believe they have a homicide on their hands.

Richibucto RCMP were called to look into reports of a shooting at a home in Pointe-Sapin on Saturday afternoon.

When officers arrived and started looking around, they found a 52 year-old man dead inside the home.

A 70 year-old man was arrested soon after in connection with the shooting and is due in Moncton court on Tuesday.

Pointe-Sapin is located on the northern coast of New Brunswick and is about 130 kilometres from Moncton.

Anyone with video, witnessed the shooting, or has information is asked to call the New Brunswick RCMP Major Crime Unit at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
