Housing Market In Saint John Area Strengthens

The Saint John Real Estate Board reports housing sales last month increased by almost 36 per cent from the same time last year.

So far this year, home sales exceeded 500 in the first three months, representing an increase of 14.5 per cent from the same period in 2015.

The average price for homes sold in April was more than $168 thousand, an increase of 4.6 per cent from the same month last year.

New listings also went up by 15.8 per cent from a year earlier.
