Musquash Fire was called out yesterday afternoon after a jeep going westbound left Highway 1 and rolled over, coming to rest in the median.
The driver was outside the jeep when emergency crews arrived but a child was trapped inside.
According to an eyewitness, the jeep had rolled over about five times before coming to a stop and the highway had to be closed to clean up the debris.
Firefighters had to stabilise the vehicle before extricating the child for treatment by the paramedics.
