There will not be a joint Emergency Measures Organisation for the Kennebecasis Valley.
The town of Rothesay has decided to set up its own EMO. In a letter signed by Mayor Bill Bishop, Rothesay says it will proceed with its own emergency preparedness but will co-operate with Quispamsis in areas of common interest.
Having a joint EMO in the Kennebecasis Valley was viewed as being viable to avoid duplication and had the support of the regional representative of the provincial EMO.
