An Oxford, Nova Scotia woman plans to buy a new washing machine after claiming a one million dollar prize from the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
Helen Fortune is now living up to her name after picking a cheque at lottery headquarters in Moncton yesterday after winning in the Lotto 6-49 draw on June 17th.
Helen and her husband Fred live in an older home which is in desperate need of repairs so they plan to buy a new house, pay off bills and help out family members.
Fortune bought the ticket where she works at the Circle K in Oxford.
