A team from CFB Gagetown had to be called in to investigate after an explosive discovery at a home in Southern PEI.
A homeowner was tilling their yard, when they struck a metal object.
It turned out to be an old military style hand grenade.
The Canadian Forces Explosive Ordnance disposal team took the grenade to a safe place to be examined.
No other devices were found in the yard.
