An effort has been launched by a nurse in Saint John to raise money for a family who has fallen on hard times because of cancer.
Terry Albright says Vern Garnett’s wife, Florence, has widespread breast cancer which is incurable and it has spread to her bones.
The family has fallen three months behind in their rent so Albright has set up a Go Fund me site online to help them out with the goal being to raise 5 thousand dollars.
You may have seen Garnett uptown with his flowing white beard which makes him resemble Santa Claus. He’s a former member of the District Education Council.
