A powerful winter storm is going to bring a whole lot of snow to New Brunswick over the next couple of days.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the southern half of the province and a winter storm warning for the north.
Snow will begin Sunday afternoon, become heavy at times Sunday evening and mix with or change to ice pellets overnight.
Forecasters are calling for 20 centimetres in Saint John and St. Stephen, and 20 to 30 centimetres in the Kennebecasis Valley, Sussex and Fredericton.
Strong winds — gusting to 90 kilometres per hour along the Fundy coast — will also bring blowing snow Sunday afternoon and night.
Northern New Brunswick will see the brunt of the snow, with 30 to 40 centimetres in the northwest and 40 to 60 centimetres in the northeast.
