Crown Continues Building First Degree Murder And Arson Case Against Devin Morningstar

The Crown is continuing to build their case for first degree murder and arson against Devin Morningstar.

In yesterday’s proceedings, blood evidence was the focus with a blood stain pattern expert, and another Forensic Investigator brought to the stand.

Blood pattern expert Sergeant Adrian Butler stated he found a blood stain with victim Baylee Wylie’s DNA on a pair of pants belonging to Morningstar.

Meanwhile, Forensic Investigator Corporal Margot Estabrooks was asked about her role in the investigation.

She examined a Hyundai Elantra belonging to Claude LeBlanc, and it had two possible bloodstains on a seatbelt and armrest.

When questioned by Rideout, she admitted she was not aware if Morningstar had been in the car although she did state she didn’t have the DNA test results.

The trial resumes this morning at 9:30 with testimony from a DNA expert.
