The preliminary hearing has begun in the Saint John Law Courts for a Little Ridge man charged in connection with the death of a 52 year old woman in St. Stephen on Christmas Eve.
Irving Hastey has yet to enter a plea on the charge and this court proceeding is expected to last at least two days.
Hastey was charged on December 27, 2018 with second-degree murder after the body of a woman was found in a home on Schoodic Street
Judge William McCarroll has issued a publication ban on any evidence presented during this hearing.
