As the days get colder and colder and snow threatening to fall, streaming services continue to provide consumers with a supply of content. With November 2019’s best titles, at least there will be a legitimate excuse to never get off the cozy couch or out of one’s warm bed.

Kerry Washington, (Scandal) and Steven Pasquale, (Rescue Me) play interracial parents whose worst nightmare may or may not have come true as they try to find answers regarding the disappearance of their son.
2.) The King (2019) – November 1st
Shakespeare gets sexy with Timothée Chalamet playing the prodigal prince Hal, aka. Henry V, who ascends to the throne after the death of his father. Advised by the wary Falstaff, (Joel Egerton, Loving) Hal navigates the vipers of courtly intrigue and the chaos of war against the French Dauphin, (Robert Pattinson, The Lighthouse).
3.) The End of the F**king World (2018-) – November 5th
In the second season of the breakout series Alyssa (Jessica Barden, The New Romantic) is living in limbo in the aftermath of her escapades with James, (Alex Lawther, Howards End). As she tries to pick up the pieces of her life, she is followed by the troubled and enigmatic Bonnie, (Naomi Ackie, Lady Macbeth).
4.) Erin Brockovich (2000) – November 6th
Julia Roberts plays the determined, foul-mouthed mother-of-three who, along with lawyer and boss Edward L. Masry, (Albert Finney, Murder on the Orient Express), exposed energy corporation PG&E’s groundwater contamination of the town of Hinkley. Roberts won her Oscar for Best Actress for her performance as Brockovich at the 73rd Academy Awards.
5.) Let It Snow (2019) – November 8th
Based on John Green’s (The Fault in Our Stars) 2008 novel, the lives of a group of small-town teens, (Isabela Moner, Shameik Moore, Kiernan Shipka, Odeya Rush, Liv Hewson, Mitchell Hope, Jacob Batalon, Anna Akana, Matthew Naozka) intersect during a snowstorm on Christmas Eve.
6.) Earthquake Bird (2019) – November 15th
Set in Tokyo 1989 secretive British expat Lucy, (Alicia Vikander, Ex Machina) gets caught up in a love triangle of intrigue and suspicion between local photographer Teji, (Naoki Kobayashi, Night Hero Naoto) and American expat Lily, (Riley Keough, Logan Lucky) who has mysteriously vanished.
7.) The Crown (2016-) – November 17th
Throughout the 1960s and 70s, Queen Elizabeth II, (The Favourite) and her family, from husband Prince Philip, (Tobias Menzies, Outlander) to sister Princess Margaret, (Helena Bonham Carter, The King’s Speech) and her son and heir, Prince Charles, (Josh O’Connor, God’s Own Country) must reckon with multiple changes and upheavals.
8.) Florence Foster Jenkins (2016) – November 25th
Meryl Streep plays the titular New York heiress known for her extraordinarily terrible singing voice, who dreams of becoming an opera singer and is managed by her husband, Shakespearean actor St. Clair Bayfield, (Hugh Grant, Paddington 2) and pianist Cosmé McMoon, (Simon Helberg, The Big Bang Theory). However, the charade spirals out of control when she books Carnegie Hall to perform for WWII soldiers.
9.) The Irishman (2019) – November 27th
Martin Scorsese’s three-hour crime opus chronicles the life of mob hitman Frank Sheeran (Robert DeNiro, his involvement with the Bufalino crime family and its mafioso Russell Bufalino (Joe Pesci) and his role in the disappearance of his friend and labor leader Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino). Scorsese utilized cutting edge de-aging technology in order to portray his actors as the younger versions of their characters.
10.) Atlantics (2019) – November 29th
The story of two star-crossed lovers, (Mame Bineta Sane and Ibrahima Traore) unfolds against the background of a dispute between the construction workers and owners of a futuristic tower in Dakar, Senegal. The film competed for the Palme D’Or and won the Grand Prix at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival; its director Mati Diop made history as the first black woman to direct a film featured in competition at the festival.

3.) Fighting With My Family (2019) – November 9th (Crave+Movies+HBO)
Based on the documentary chronicling the lives and careers of the Bevis wrestling family (Nick Frost, Lena Headey), Saraya Bevis’, (Florence Pugh, Midsommar) gets a chance to become a WWE wrestler, while her brother Zak, (Jack Lowden, Mary, Queen of Scots) is passed over.
4.) Back To Life (2019-) – November 10th (weekly)
Miri Matteson (Daisy Haggard, Black Mirror) attempts to rebuild her life serving an 18-year jail sentence, and moves home to Hythe, Kent.
5.) They Shall Not Grow Old (2018) – November 11th
Peter Jackson’s documentary about World War One features original, unseen footage from the Imperial War Museum’s archives, the majority of which has been colorized by modern production techniques, commemorating the centennial anniversary of the end of the war.
6.) Dollface (2019-) – November 15th (weekly)
After being dumped by her longtime boyfriend Jules, (Kat Dennings, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist) dives into her imagination to reconnect with the female friends (Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell, Esther Povitsky) she let wither during her relationship.
7.) The Last Picture Show (1971) – November 15th (Starz Programming)
A group of high schoolers (Jeff Bridges, Timothy Bottoms, Cybill Shepherd, Ben Johnson, Sam Bottoms, Randy Quaid) come of age in the dying town of Anarene, Texas in the early 1950s. Filmed in black-and-white, Peter Bogdanovich’s breakout film was nominated for eight Academy awards and was a critical and commercial smash.
8.) Wag the Dog (1997) – November 22nd (Starz Programming)
Barry Levinson was lightyears ahead of fake news and manipulated Facebook algorithms in this black comedy about how a spin doctor (Robert DeNiro) and Hollywood producer (Dustin Hoffman) manipulate the media and create a fake war to distract the public from a presidential sex scandal. Unfortunately, was once farce about the media is now chilling reality.
9.) Us (2019) – November 23rd (Crave+Movies+HBO)
In Jordan Peele’s, (Get Out) sophomore film, a family (Winston Duke, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex) is terrorized by their doppelgangers at the vacation house where the mother Adelaide, (Lupita Nyong’o, Black Panther) was traumatized as a child.
10.) David Foster: Off the Record (2019) November 28th
The documentary about music mogul David Foster, born in Victoria B.C., combines archival footage, access with Foster himself and interviews with friends, family, and musicians from Celine Dion to Barbra Streisand to Quincy Jones to create a picture of a man whose talent and ambition fueled the sale of half-a-billion records worldwide.
