What’s Open And Closed On Family Day

Family Day is a statutory holiday in New Brunswick, so expect a number of stores and businesses to be closed Monday.

Most grocery stores and retail stores will be closed, including the City Market, but many pharmacies will be open for limited hours.

All NB Liquor and Cannabis NB stores will also be closed, along with City Hall.

Saint John Transit will not be operating, which also means there will be no Comex service

Provincial government offices will be closed, but because Family Day is not a federal holiday, Canada Post offices are open and mail delivery will take place as scheduled.

Garbage and compost pick-up in Saint John will follow its regular schedule.

If you are unsure if something is open or operating on Monday, it is best to call ahead.
