Blood Donors Needed For Easter Long Weekend

There’s a demand for blood donations over the Easter long weekend.

Canadians Blood services says with the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions across the country donors find themselves with less time to donate because they are busier with travel and family activities…

But the need for lifesaving blood and plasma doesn’t decrease.

They’re putting out a plea for Canadians to book one of the many available appointments over the Easter long weekend ins several communities, including Quispamsis and Moncton.

In addition to blood, plasma and platelets, more potential stem cell donors are immediately needed to support patients requiring lifesaving treatment. Eligible individuals between the ages of 17 and 35 are urged to join Canadian Blood Services Stem Cell Registry online.

To make an appointment, you can book online at blood.ca, use the GiveBlood app or call 1 888 2 DONATE (1-888-236-6283).
