We are looking at some messy weather this weekend.
A special weather statement has been issued for our region warning of a low-pressure system tracking over Quebec on Friday night and passing north of the Maritimes on Saturday.
The snow starts over western New Brunswick on Friday morning spreading eastward across the province during the day.
The snow will change from ice pellets or freezing rain to rain Friday night and then to scattered showers or flurries on Saturday morning.
The temperatures are expected to be above freezing overnight Friday in the south but could stay near the freezing mark in parts of the north.
