The cleanup begins after Friday’s storm brought snow, ice pellets, freezing rain and rain to much of the province.
Environment Canada says Saint John received five centimetres of snow, followed by two hours of freezing rain and 13 millimetres of rain.
St. Stephen reported eight centimetres of snow, several hours of freezing rain and 13 millimetres of rain.
About four centimetres of snow fell in Fredericton, followed by four hours of freezing rain and eight millimetres of rain.
And Moncton saw nine centimetres of snow, 2.5 hours of freezing rain and a bit of rain.
Environment Canada is forecasting a high of 7°C on Saturday, but the temperature will fall to near the freezing mark in the afternoon.
Slippery Road Conditions
Police are warning drivers to slow down and give themselves extra time due to icy road conditions.
Saint John police closed Foster Thurston Drive from Ashburn Road to Sandy Point Road after several vehicles, including a salt truck, slid into the ditch.
Shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday, police said the road was once again open to traffic.

Most major highways across southern New Brunswick are reported to have icy patches and slushy patches.
Fire Crews Deal With Crashes, Blaze
Saint John fire crews were also busy on Friday with several collisions due to the messy weather.
They also responded to a structure fire in Lorneville, where a 30’x50′ building was destroyed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
