November 13, 1941 – February 27, 2026
The death of John Colin McNichol occurred on February 27, 2026, after a period of failing health. Born in St. George, NB, on November 13, 1941, he was the son of the late John and Gladys (Taylor) McNichol.
Colin married the love of his life, Marilyn (Campbell), in 1963 and they enjoyed over 62 years together. After retirement from Canadian Pacific Railway, he worked at Cameron’s Welding, and Brenan’s Funeral Home.
Colin is survived by his “girls”, Marilyn, Judy Armstrong (Darrell) and Terri Lynn McNichol. Colin was the proud grandfather to Matthew Armstrong (Rachelle) and great-grandfather to Alora Jane Armstrong. He is also survived by his sisters, June Seeley (Art) of St. George, NB, and Kathleen Wright (George) of Riverview, NB, nephews, and cousins.
Colin lived life on his own terms and during these last couple of years, his daughters were at his side offering their support, compassion and guidance during every appointment, treatment, test, and more.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). With visitation on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place from the Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in memory of Colin may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital, or to Harmony United Church.
