Tamara Biriukova, born on August 11, 1948, grew up in Latvia and spent most of her life in Kyiv, Ukraine. She carried with her the strength, culture, and deep appreciation for beauty that shaped her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Andrew; her daughter-in-law, Lena; and her beloved grandsons, Alex, and Dmitrii, great grandson Viktor, as well as her close friends; Tatiana Marchenko, and Tatiana Diachuk.

Tamara was well known and deeply respected as a cat show expert. Her knowledge, dedication, and genuine love for cats earned her admiration from many in the feline community. Her special companion, “Kitty,” held a particularly dear place in her heart. Animals were not just a hobby for Tamara; they were a lifelong passion.

Beyond her love of cats, Tamara surrounded herself with beauty. She cared for countless houseplants, nurturing them with the same devotion she gave to everything she loved. Her home was always filled with life.

In the past seven years, she made her home in Canada under the loving care of her son and his family. During this time, she remained connected to her many close friends, who will remember her warmth, knowledge, and strong spirit.

Tamara will be remembered with love and respect by all who knew her. Her passion for animals, her devotion to her family, and the life she cultivated around her will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, New Brunswick, (506 634-7424). A visitation in memory of Tamara will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM.
