Your gateway to Canada just got bigger

Flying from Saint John just got a lot more interesting.

A partnership between Pascan Aviation and Porter Airlines means YSJ travellers can book a single ticket connecting to destinations across Canada through the brand-new Montréal Metropolitan Airport, known as the MET.

Destinations now within reach include Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto Pearson and Toronto Billy Bishop.

Not only that, but travelling through the MET promises to be nothing short of revolutionary.

It was built to feel nothing like a traditional airport: 900-seat waiting area, nine boarding bridges, parking 25 metres from the main entrance, and a lounge atmosphere throughout. Travellers need only arrive 30 minutes before boarding.

And the MET is just 15 kilometres from downtown Montréal, with shuttle service to the Longueuil métro station.

Service begins June 15, with a daily 6:55 a.m. departure from Saint John arriving at the MET with as little as 45 minutes to connect – enough time, in a terminal this size – and landing travellers in Western Canada by late morning.

A second flight departs Saint John at 2 p.m. every weekday.

The final Pascan flight of the day arrives back in Saint John around 11 p.m.

Booking depends on your itinerary:

  • Travelling only to Montréal? Book through pascan.com.
  • Connecting onward to other Porter flights? Book the full itinerary at flyporter.com, including the Pascan flight from Saint John.

A code share between the two airlines is expected later this year, which will bring both itineraries onto a single platform.

On top of all that, YSJ travellers can still take advantage of Pascan’s flights to and from Halifax. And they can connect to Pascan’s entire network in Quebec, including Quebec City, through the MET.
