July 1, 1960 – May 8, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Holly Jean Beaton, beloved daughter of Joseph and Rosemarie Beaton, announce her sudden passing at her home on May 8, 2026.
Holly was a remarkable woman whose presence could light up any room. She had a strong spirit, a warm heart, and a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her passion for art began early in life and led her to attend Sheridan College in Ontario, where she graduated with honours at the top of her class. Her artwork was among her greatest accomplishments and will continue to be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Above all else, Holly loved her family deeply. She was incredibly proud of each and every one of them and spoke of them often with love and admiration. She was known for her honesty, sincerity, and straightforward nature. Those closest to her always knew they could count on Holly for a truthful and heartfelt opinion.
Holly also had a lifelong love of sports. Whether she was skating on the hockey rink, playing basketball, or catching a line drive at third base, she approached every game with enthusiasm and determination.
She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, nieces, and nephews for her vibrant personality and her love of music, especially Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. Her appreciation for music was something those close to her understood well and will always remember fondly.
Although Holly did not have children of her own, she was a devoted animal lover and cared deeply for her cats throughout her life. Her beloved cat Ashley held a very special place in her heart.
Holly was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rosemarie Beaton, and by her brothers, David Beaton and Kimberly Beaton.
She leaves behind her brothers Michael Beaton and Mark Beaton; her sisters Jennifer Beaton and Rosemarie Hogan; her nephews Joseph Beaton and Matthew Beaton; her nieces Michelle Chase, Sharell Salkey, Tavia Salkey, and Elizabeth Cormier; along with many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, New Brunswick, (506 – 634 – 7424). A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Holly’s memory and to share stories, laughter, music, and the many cherished memories she created with those around her.
In honour of Holly’s lifelong love of animals, donations may be made to a local animal shelter in her memory.
