It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne Douglas Saunders announces his passing on October 31, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital in Saint John NB.
Born on March 22, 1947, in Saint John, NB, he is the beloved son of the late Jessie Saunders. Wayne dedicated 37 years of his working life to the Loch Lomond Villa, where he worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant. Through his many years of service, he gave his time and care to others, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and compassion.
Wayne had a special place in his heart for horses and all animals. His gentle nature and love for caring for them were an important part of who he was.
Wayne was predeceased by his aunts, Joan Saunders and Thelma Saunders.
Above all Wayne would want to be remembered for his love of life, the joy he found in friendships, and his special connections he made with those around him and for the special bond he developed with his aunt Joan Saunder for the last several years.
Though Wayne is no longer with us, the memories of Wayne, his kindness, and the life he lived will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Gone but never forgotten.
