Expect a higher bill from Saint John Energy soon.
The utility letting its customers know about a rate increase coming tomorrow.
It follows on the heels of a recent decision by the Energy and Utilities Board to put in place an average increase of 0.88 per cent for NB Power customers that also kicks in on August 1.
Rate increases will be passed along to Saint John Energy’s customers with a 0.55 per cent increase for general service and a 1.06 per cent increase for residential and other electricity rate classes.

There will be no increase in the price of water heater and heat pump rental rates at this time.
