The lights are back on the west side. Saint John Energy tweeting just after 5pm that all power has been restored.

4500 people on the West side are without power.
We are experiencing an outage on the Westside. Crews are on their way to determine cause and estimated restoration time.

The unplanned outage impacts customers from Simms Corner to Lorneville and the Westfield Road.
We hear the traffic lights in some areas are impacted as well.
The cause is the loss of a transmission line and there is no estimate on when the lights might be back on.
