Saturday Morning Sports For August 18th

In the majors:

The Blue Jays fell to the Yankees 7-5 in a game cut short by rain.

Showers began after Giancarlo Stanton’s 435-foot home run in the seventh, and the game was called after waiting 85 minutes for the weather to subside.

Elsewhere, Boston beat Tampa Bay 7-3, the Cubs blanked Pittsburgh 1-0, and the Dodgers downed Seattle 11-1.

In the CFL:

Backup quarterback Dominique Davis scored twice as Ottawa defeated Winnipeg 44-21.

Trevor Harris threw for 361 yards and completed 29 of 39 passes.
