Air Canada Hits Record Setting Profit For Second-Quarter Of 2017

It’s been a good year for Air Canada as it experienced a record setting second-quarter for 2017.

Air Canada earned a profit of $300 million, which is compared to $186 million last year.

Revenue for the three-month period reached $3.91 billion.

That’s an increase from nearly $3.46 billion one year ago.

The adjusted cost per available seat mile, which measures how much Air Canada spent to fly passengers, dropped 3.5 percent compared to 2016.

The drop was due to lower than planned for aircraft maintenance costs.

Traffic and capacity experienced an increase of just under 14-percent.
