In the Majors, Chris Young hit two homers drove in five runs for the Boston Red Sox in a 6-3 win over the Chicago White Sox…..The New York Yankees remained three games back in the American League East after an 8-1 win over Cleveland as Aaron Judge hit his 35th homer of the season. The Yankees benched All-Star catcher Gary Sanchez of his failures on defense this season…..Houston rallied with 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th for a 7-6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

In the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers swept the New York Mets, winning 8-0 as Cody Bellinger hit his 32nd homer of the season. The Dodgers lead the National League West by 15 and a half games. In a battle of division leaders, Washington rallied for a 9-4 win over the Chicago Cubs as Matt Wieters hit a grand slammer for the Nationals.

Elsewhere, it was Tampa Bay 2 Milwaukee 1…..St. Louis 13 Cincinnati 2….Miami 4 Atlanta 1….Pittsburgh 5 San Diego 4 (12 innings)…..Baltimore 12 Detroit 3….Minnesota 6 Texas 5….Seattle 8 Kansas City 7 and then Kansas City 9 Seattle 1…..Philadelphia 3 Colorado 2….Oakland 11 Los Angeles Angels 10 and San Francisco 6 Arizona 3.
