Forest Fire Threat Eases A Bit

The provincial government is now allowing restricted burning from 8 at night to 8 in the morning as the threat from forest fires has eased a bit thanks in large part to the rain on the weekend.

Forest Fire Watch reports 8 fires were extinguished but 13 are still burning. Four new fires have been reported.

A small fire northwest of Moncton is still listed as out of control on the provincial government website.

Environment Canada is calling for rain tomorrow but perhaps not as much as was hoped for.
