We have been told for a long time that development of the Coast Guard site is close but such is not the case.
Common Councillor Gerry Lowe says a reorganizaiton is in the works with a new board. He concedes the local economy just hasn’t been strong enough over the past few years to attract the investment needed for such a development.
Steve Carson, formerly of Enterprise Saint John, is now in charge. The reorganisation will affect waterfront development and Saint John Industrial Parks.
There’s still no word on where the replica of the tall ship “Marco Polo” will be placed. It remains in storage on the west side.
