A lockdown has been ordered after an inmate was assaulted at the Atlantic Institution in Renous.
Officials with Correctional Services of Canada say an inmate had to be taken to an outside hospital for treatment on August 17th.
No staff members or other inmates in the maximum security federal institution were hurt.
